Lee Phemister

Lead Artist / Animator

About Me

I have been an artist and animator in the Seattle area for over 10 years. My passion for games and a creative spirit led me into development as a career. For the last 5 years I have been a lead artist and Manager at Nintendo making software for the Wii and the DSi. I am proud to say I played a small part in the success of the Nintendo franchise. Before that I was an artist and animator at Arena Net and Gas Powered Games. I feel very fortunate to have had those great experiences and to have worked with so many talented people on such ground breaking games. I have developed software for PC, Handhelds and Consoles, understanding the requirements and limitations of each. I have experience with many facets of game development. Characters, Environments, FX, UI, Management, Scheduling, Out sourcing, and Localization.

I am a self starter; I take initiative and always try to bring positive energy to the teams I work on. I am always searching for that perfect synergy of passion, aesthetic and commitment. I strive to always learn and grow as an artist a manager and a person. I have worked on many numbers of games, freelance and personal projects over the years be it for hire or to just create something I thought was cool. I have worked with Design firms, creating renders and animations of preliminary marks, designed retail spaces and trade show exhibits. Created web content for client’s, even architectural mock-ups, In addition to being a software developer.

I am into a lot of different things such as playing games, snowboarding and playing guitar, cars and motorcycles. I like things with engines, even yard tools. My most recent hobby is golfing, well… calling it golfing is generous as it applies to me ( I carry a 26.3 usga golf handicap index). So if you want to feel good about your golf skills come shoot a round with me. None the less I love the game. It’s great to be with friends and family while enjoying the outdoors. I have small place in Woodinville I like to call home. I live a pretty simple life and do my best to enjoy all the small moments in the rollercoaster of life. Thanks for visiting my site please feel free to contact me. I hope to hear from you soon.
